megatokyo를 돌아 다니다가 The truth about Megatokyo?라는 글이 있다는 걸 알고 대충(나는 영어 못 한다) 둘러 봤다. 한 250화 쯤부터 Rodney Caston이라는 이름이 빠진 게 수상(?)하더니만 그 전말이 이렇다고 한다.

...After this he approached me and said either I would sell him my ownership of MegaTokyo or he would simply stop doing it entirely, and we'd divide up the company's assets and end it all.

저기 아랫쪽에는 "Largo(= Rodney Caston)가 Piro(= Fred Gallagher)한테 협박받은 거 아니냐-_-"는 얘기가 있으나 글로 미루어 봐서 이건 사실이 아닐 것 같다. 참고로 megatokyo의 console 섹션 뒤져 보면 Piro가 쓴 비슷한 글이 하나 있는데, Piro가 Largo를 협박해서 megatokyo를 넘겨 받았다-_-라고 누가 글을 쓴 거에 대해서 반박하고 있다.

뭐... 사실 Rodney Caston은 아직도 megatokyo의 console 섹션과 포럼 운영을 담당하고 있기 때문에 협박 받았다는 주장이 별로 말이 되는 것 같지는 않지만... 그나저나 Rodney Caston의 글 가운데서 동감이 가는 부분이 있었는데 인용해 본다:
